We’re aiming to trial the IMAB-Qi in real-life settings- in GP surgeries, where healthcare professionals routinely carry out medication reviews. By doing this, we hope to test whether IMAB-Qi can be used routinely in medication reviews and whether it helps people to take medicines as prescribed. First we’ll collaborate closely with both healthcare professionals and patients to understand how best to use IMAB-Qi in medication reviews in a way that works for them. By working directly with these people who will be using IMAB-Qi, we can boost the chances of it being successfully used routinely in medication reviews.
Then we will test IMAB-QI on a small scale in medication reviews to see if a large scale clinical trial is possible. Finally we will undertake a large scale clinical trial where we will test to see if IMAB-Qi helps people take their medicines as prescribed and is good value for money for the NHS and address these barriers—making the tool as practical and effective as possible.
